When coming up through the West Coast of the North Island, theres a turn off called Donnelly’s Crossing. Here you'll find yourself entering old lands. Old Kauri swamps and gravel roads guide your way till you see the beacon to enter Wild Forest. A large red flag.

Wild Forest Estate is located 3 hours North of Auckland, on the west coast. Surrounded by some of the top must-see visits in New Zealand - this is the perfect destination stay. Tane Mahuta and the Kaiiwi Lakes are situated less than 30 minutes away from Wild Forest. A kiwi sanctuary is just around the corner and also New Zealand’s longest drivable beach - all 109km of it! Be ready to hear the Kiwi and Ruru calling at night during your stay. They live here. Please don’t disturb them if you see them.

The off the grid Lotus Belle tent is decorated with vintage kilim, uses 100 percent pure linen bedding and a brand new Ecosa mattress. You’ll find bean bags for night time stargazing, a two person hammock to soak up the forest energy and an outdoor bath to re energise and relax in equal abundance. The undercover kitchen has a Weber BBQ and Gas elements with a kitchen sink and hot running water.


Travel Note

In the winter things can get chilly. Please pack warm and snuggly clothes. Wild Forest provide hot water bottles, ideal for those awe inspiring stargazing sessions.
