About
The Fisher House is designed in the unique "Bush Modernism" style and although undergoing a recent renovation, it retains plenty of earthy charm. Expansive floor to ceiling windows, high ceilings and exposed timber beams make the space light and welcoming.
Amenities
The house has all the modern luxuries you would expect, but please note that it still has old bones and some quirks that come with a building over 50 years old.
The master bedroom has large windows and a private ensuite and the second bedroom is smaller but has a queen bed and views to the garden. The open plan living area features a custom built in sofa and open fire place for the colder months. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for cooking, plus some pantry essentials and a dishwasher. There are expansive front and back native gardens that are home to local birdlife and provide plenty of shady spots for relaxing.
Travel Note
Nestled on the edge of the Warrandyte State Park and in walking distance of the Yarra River, swimming holes and the Warrandyte village cafes, restaurants and bars. Just 40 minutes from Melbourne and on the doorstep of the Yarra Valley wine region.
